International Institute of Management
Research, Education, and Consulting
President's Letter:
I'm delighted to welcome you to the Institute's website.
On this page, I would like to share the personal and professional inspiration behind establishing the International Institute of Management, as well as the unique value our knowledge services can offer your leadership team.
After years of research, education, and consulting, I discovered that success comes, surprisingly, from a few key decision-making models and a set of management best practices for each functional role. Much of what I learned from books and in college, by comparison, proved to be noise. In the Information Age, the major challenge is not a lack of information, but rather information overload. Success is not about how much data you have; it is about how effectively you connect, interpret, and use that data to make sound decisions.
In the information age, information is cheap. Wisdom is expensive.
Without discounting the value of traditional academic education and its contribution to the broader body of management knowledge, executives are increasingly less interested in theory and more interested in practical application.
Successful government and business leaders understand this better than anyone. They do not have time to waste reading lengthy texts or memorizing theories. They are not looking to attend traditional seminars or lectures; instead, they want answers to three practical questions:
- What are the critical success factors?
- How do I apply them to achieve the best return on investment?
- How do I avoid common pitfalls?
To serve our clients better, we shifted our focus from studying the most popular management theories to researching the world's most successful government, business, and investment leaders. We analyzed and documented both successes and failures in an effort to identify and capture their best practices.
The next step was to build a strong knowledge-transfer network consisting of leading experts in each field. All of our advisors are results-oriented professionals who are successful in their own right. They understand key business drivers, performance metrics, and execution. More importantly, they are passionate advocates of the 80/20 principle.
Beyond the Institute's best-practices knowledge base and the collective intelligence of its network, the most valuable service we can provide is helping you save the time, effort, and cost required to achieve your goals and advance your career.
I wish you every success.
