International Institute of Management
Best Practices Research, Education, and Consulting
President's Letter:
I'm delighted to welcome you to the Institute's website.
On this page, I'd like to share with you the personal and professional inspiration behind establishing the International Institute of Management and the unique value that our knowledge services can offer your leadership team.
After years of research, education and consulting, I found that success comes, surprisingly, from a few key decision-making models and a set of management best practices in each functional role. Everything else, I learned in college, books and media is noise. In the information age, the major challenge is not the lack of information; but rather information overload. Success is not about how much data you have; it is about what and how you connect and use the data to make successful decisions..
In today's Internet world, Information is Cheap. Wisdom is Expensive.
Without discounting the value of traditional academic education and its contribution to the total heritage of management wisdom, executives are less interested in theory and more interested in applications.
Successful government and business leaders understand this best, since they do not have the time to waste on reading long texts or memorizing theories. They do not want to attend traditional seminars or lectures; they want to answer three practical questions:
What are the critical success factors?
How do I apply them for the best return on investment? And;
How do I avoid common pitfalls?
To serve our clients better, we shifted our learning focus from studying the most popular management theories to researching the world's most successful government, business and investment executives. We analyzed and took notes from every success and failure we came across in an attempt to capture their best practices. The next step was to build a strong knowledge transfer network, consisting of the brightest experts in each field. All of our advisors are result-oriented professionals who are successful in their own right. They understand key business drivers, performance metrics and execution. More importantly, they are passionate advocates of the "80: 20" rule.
Beyond the Institute's best practices knowledge base and the collective intelligence of its network, the most valuable service we could provide you is to save you the time, effort and cost needed to achieve your goals and advance your career.
I wish you success!
