Program Objectives

The Public Administration training program is set within the context of contemporary political, social, economic, and administrative environment. The program key objectives include the following:

  • Providing the candidates with a multidisciplinary perspective of the complex environment within which governance occurs, as well as the competencies, values, duties, responsibilities, challenges and problems of public service professionals.
  • Learning proprietary public policy decision frameworks and measurement tools such as Gross National Happiness (GNH), Gross National Wellbeing (GNW), and Gross National Development (GND)
  • Exploring responsive, equitable, effective, efficient, and accountable governance processes, public policies, and institutional-base programs.
  • Sharing ideas, strategies and tools to plan, design and manage development and reforms initiatives in relevant sectors

  • Explore the American democratic government model, including historical, philosophical, psychological, and sociological aspects of the U.S. government, the institutional and legal frameworks, U.S. constitution, federalism, system of democracy, and political, legislative, and executive processes

Training Model

  • Experiential action learning

  • 25%-50% theory and 50-75% experiential project work

  • The development and evaluation of executive skills are based on the Institute's proprietary KASAC training model.

  3. Executive summary of the subject matter:

    • Summary of essential concepts and leadership best practices

    • Examples and case studies

  5. Experiential work-based assessment project

Performance Evaluation

  • Performance will be evaluated on the basis of individual or team project deliverables

  • Candidates can complete customized experiential work-based projects such as developing a relevant analysis document, management strategy, action plan or a senior management presentation

  • The program advisor will review the deliverables and provide improvement feedback

  • The evaluation is a form of management consulting and experiential coaching for performance improvement
