Global Management Polls
IIM conducts annual global management surveys to identify and
disseminate best management thinking and practices. IIM conducts 2 types of
surveys; the first survey identifies the current and emerging business
trends (challenges, opportunities and threats) , and the second survey identifies most successful
organizations, managers, educators and consultants. IIM researches further what contributes
to their success and shares the results with the management society in the
form of
management insights and best
practices recommendations.
Polls structure, rules and methodology:
Nominations Criteria

To accept the nomination of a company, the minimum annual revenues must
be more than $1B (USD)

To accept the nomination of a person, the person should be
an original thinker who impacted
the way we think and do business OR a business executive who
developed a billion dollar business. S/he should be published
and widely read or there should be sufficient media coverage, quotations
and/or research reference to the person's works

Users must include a brief summary text with
URL to reference materials
and information (like books, papers and websites that can be used
for further research).
Submissions

Supplied contact data are kept confidential
-
Nominations or submissions with missing or incorrect contact
information or email addresses will not be considered

Multiple submissions from the same person to the same poll are eliminated

Users may be contacted to validate or obtain more information about
submission, nominees and/or references

Living nominees may be contacted to get more information for
research validation
Data

Survey type is open and free form, it does not guide or limit
choices

Nominations supplied by all users is researched and validated
against nomination criteria

Validated submissions are then statistically analyzed and correlated
-
The size of the company, performance, impact, and number of votes
(respectability) determines the list order of the top 10 nominees
