• Develop the core information systems management skills and competencies. The core competencies include MIS knowledge, planning, control, problem-solving and communication. The development and evaluation of these skills are based on IIM's proprietary KASAC management training model.

• IT management best practices Capability Maturity Model (CMM), IT Service Management (ITSM), ITIL, ISO7799, COBIT, ISO FCAPS, TMF FAB,  IT Project Management, Total Costs of Ownership (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI) and Cost/Benefit Analysis (CBA)
• Overview of enterprise information system: PCs, Servers and Peripherals, Operating systems (OS), Office Applications, Communication Systems (Voice, Video and Data). Performance Evaluation (Optional)

• Performance will be evaluated on the basis of individual or team project deliverables
• Candidates can complete customized experiential / work-based projects such as developing a relevant analysis document, management strategy, action plan or a senior management presentation
• IIM course advisor will review the deliverables and provide improvement feedback
• There are no traditional quizzes or theoretical exams.

Course Prerequisites 

• From our experience, success in distance learning requires a well-organized person who has good English language skills, is comfortable with online technologies and used to self-study and research methods
• Candidate have prior relevant Information and communication technology (ICT) knowledge in their field. Although the course provides an overview of key technologies. The course focuses on technology management, it does not focus on IS engineering.
