(Las Vegas, USA Dec 01, 2005) - Call for
participation in digital economy research
International Institute of Management (IIM) announced today an invitation to digital economy experts,
consultants and professors to participate in worldwide collaborative research
project on digital economy.
Over the past decade
information and communication technology (ICT) along with the Internet caused
fundamental changes to our economies, business and societies. Every major change
creates new opportunities and challenges, new industries, markets and jobs. Over
the next few decades several nations will make and lose wealth, gain or lose
competitive advantages, advance or lag in socio-economic development.
In this management research
study, IIM is calling experts to collaborate on publishing an international best
practices guide to digital economy. Aiming to help address issues and questions that many
economic and business leaders are facing. Some of these questions include:
-
What is the Global Digital Economy?
-
What is E-Government, E-Commerce, E-Learning,
E-Media and E-Health?
- What are the emerging
opportunities and challenges for countries, businesses and individuals?
- What are the new
developments and trends that are changing the global economy and market
place?
- What are the key enabling
technologies?
- How can they stimulate
economic development and improve productivity?
-
How do they impact the current business and work
models?
- What is the impact of the
new digital economy on traditional professions?
- What are the new knowledge
and skill-sets required to survive and compete in these changing times?
-
Who are the main global players and what are
they doing?
- What are the key lessons
and best practices learned from the early adopters?
-
How do they win in the new global digital
market?
-
How to avoid the pitfalls?

economy.
