  • What you see (in your mind's eye) is what you get. Proof: What you saw is pretty much what you got! --Joe Klock

  • You never win a game unless you beat the guy in front of you. The score on the board doesn't mean a thing. That's for the fans. You've got to win the war with the man in front of you. You've got to get your man. --Vince Lombardi

  • Success is like anything worthwhile. It has a price. You have to pay the price to win and you have to pay the price to get to the point where success is possible. Most important, you must pay the price to stay there. --Vince Lombardi

  • Successful people use their strength by recognizing, developing and utilizing the talents of others. --Unknown

  • "A CEO's performance is as good as his Middle Managers" - Med Yones

  • Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out... --Robert Collier

  • Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go. --William Feather

  • That man is successful who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much, who has gained the respect of the intelligent men and the love of children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who leaves the world better than he found it, whether by an improved poppy, a perfect poem, or a rescued soul; who never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty or failed to express it; who looked for the best in others and gave the best he had. --Robert Louis Stevenson

  • The important thing to recognize is that it takes a team... Successes have many fathers, failures have none. --Philip Caldwell

  • The only time you don't fail is the last time you try anything - and it works. --William Strong

  • The process of succeeding can be seen as a series of trials in which your vision constantly guides you toward your target while in your actual performance you are regularly slightly off target. Success in any area requires constantly readjusting your behavior as the result of feedback from your experience. --Michael Gelb and Tony Buzan

  • Success is getting what you want. Happiness is liking what you get. --Unknown

  • There is no failure except in no longer trying. --Elbert Hubbard

  • The saddest failures in life are those that come from not putting forth the power and will to succeed. --Edwin Whipple

  • The journey is the reward. --Tao saying

  • A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step. --Lao-Tsu

  • Successful men and women become successful because they acquire the habit of thinking in terms of success. Get the success habit in the small circumstances you control, and soon you'll be controlling the bigger ones. --Napoleon Hill

  • Control success before it controls you. --Dwight Yoakam
  • Success, in my view, is the willingness to strive for something you really want. The person not reaching the top is no less a success than the one who achieved it, if they both sweated blood, sweat and tears and overcame obstacles and fears. The failure to be perfect does not mean you're not a success. --Fran Tarkenton

  • Success is a journey, not a destination. --Ben Sweetland

  • Success is a state of mind. If you want success, start thinking of yourself as a success. --Joyce Brothers

  • Rudy's Rules:

    • Rule #1 - Everyone can be anyone they want to be. "It's your life and it's up to you to take charge of it... You must take action to reach the thing you desire."

    • Rule #2 - Make anger work for you. "Anger is a normal reaction. It's what you do with anger that makes the difference in your life ... direct your anger towards a goal ... embrace [anger] as a friend instead of fearing it as an enemy ... from anger comes determination comes triumph."

    • Rule #3 - Everyone should dream. "It starts with a dream. It starts with building castles in the air and then knowing the difference between a fantasy and a dream and finally making it come true."

    • Rule #4 - Eliminate the confusion. "You can't look at the enormity of what you want to do. At least you can't look at it all at once. ... visualize exactly what you want to be, and only that. If you can visualize what you want to be and eliminate the confusion and fears, that's when you start getting places."

    • Rule #5 - It's better to do something and fail than to do nothing and succeed. "Fear comes in two basic forms: fear of failure and fear of success." Fear of success is "really the fear of the responsibilities that will come when you reach your goal ... the shame isn't in failing, it's in not trying ... the harder the struggle, the greater the reward at journeys end."

    • Rule #6 - Get the dollar signs out of your eyes. "There's nothing wrong with making money. It's only wrong when it's your primary objective ... money isn't what it's all about. Doing what you truly want to do is."

    • Rule #7 - Quit making excuses. "What we're really talking about here is commitment. Until you make a commitment to your dream, it's not a commitment at all. It's just another fantasy. And fantasies don't come true because they're not real, we're not committed to them. When we make commitments, they become dreams. And dreams are very real."

    • Rule #8 - Dreams don't have time limits, but timing is everything. "Dreams are real, time limits are artificial. Because no time is the right time and no time is the wrong time. Not for being the person you want to be."

    • Rule #9 - Never Quit. "Don't ever, ever quit. Recognize that stopping now, regrouping to try a new approach isn't quitting. If you quit you'll regret it forever."

    • Rule #10 - When you achieve one dream, dream another. "Getting what you want is only a problem if you have nowhere to go next. Dreaming is a lifetime occupation.
