What PC software & hardware tools do I need
for distance learning courses?
Before you start, make sure you have the
following software applications and internet tools
- PC and internet connection
- A printer, if you want to
view course material on paper.
- Free Adobe Acrobat for PDF viewing and
printing. You may download latest free
version at www.adobe.com
- A working e-mail software and account that accepts
large attachments (10 MB). If your email host does not accept
large attachments, then you can use any of the free or paid Hotmail/Yahoo/Gmail
email services that gives you up to a 2GB email box. They also offer free antivirus scan for

- An updated antivirus program on your PC. You may check with
www.mcafee.com ,
www.trendmicro.com or
www.symantec.com
- Make sure you add IIM's email address
