IIM Research Projects

The goal of IIM's research is to provide innovative solutions to complex socioeconomic problems. IIM research results are published in the form of management best practices and policy white papers. Unlike academic research papers, IIM white papers are succinct work documents designed for communication and problem-solving by the public and private sectors. IIM white papers provide businesses and government leaders with: 1) A statement of the problem or opportunity 2). Analysis of root causes and driving forces 3). Proposed solution and implementation best practices.  The white papers are followed with pilot projects to utilize and disseminate the research results. The dissemination of the results can be a combination of publications, training workshops, consulting and coaching services. Depending on the funding of each project, the dissemination and the exploitation of results can be in the form of commercial, non-profit or free open courseware.

Pilot project : IIM Open Courseware (OCW)

IIM International Research Consortiums
IIM currently co-funds 3 international research consortiums in partnership with the European Commission for the development of pilot projects in Healthcare, Education and Industry sectors. These projects were launched under EUMEDIS (Euro-Mediterranean Information Society) Initiative - the largest research initiative of its kind. The consortiums consist of a total of 43 partners from 16 countries. Countries participated in the first phase  include; Austria, Britain, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal ,Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, Syria, Morocco and Algeria. 

IIM EUMEDIS Consortiums :

1. Education Sector: MedNetU - Mediterranean Network of Universities, consisting of 25 partners from 11 countries
2. Healthcare Sector : PARADIGMA - Participative Approach to Disease Global Management , consisting of 26 partners from 10 countries
3. Industry  Sector: MEDPRIDE - Mediterranean Project for Innovation Development consisting of 5 EU partners and 7 MEDA  partners
