Speaker Guidelines
What Do The Speakers Get?
- The publishing of the Speaker's bio on the conference website.
- Speakers will receive complimentary access to all of the conference sessions
- Mention of the Speaker's name and their companies on all of the conference's
promotional material
- Speakers will receive a verbal bio promotion during the Speaker's introduction
- The Speaker's videos will be posted on the IIM website
- IIM grants the Speakers full-use and re-sale license rights of their video sessions
- Worldwide press-release and promotion
- Direct email, fax, or mail to tens of thousands of Fortune 1000
executives, managers and consultants
- Speakers receive free access to the attendees, other Speakers,
networking events and media sessions
Note: IIM does not pay for the Speaking engagements. IIM's conferences and
their pre-event marketing activities provide an invaluable platform to develop
the Speakers'
credibility, increase their visibility and promote their businesses. IIM events
are also a great opportunity to get access to potential high-profile clients
Speaker's Presentation Format:
- All presentations must be submitted for review
- Each session will consist of a 30 minutes presentation and a 15 minutes Q&A
session
- While, there is no exact format, we ask that you keep your presentations to a maximum of
30 slides
- All presentations should be in Microsoft Power Point format
- Less text is more when it comes to text on slides
- For better visibility the font should not be less than 24 point
- The use of humor, anecdotes, quotes, charts, graphics, examples, video, etc
will enhance your presentation
- The last slide (or few) slides should include Take-Aways or lesson
summaries
- You should have full copyright or permission to the content
- Please submit a one-page bio with links to your company's
website in Microsoft Word format
- Presentations should be research and best practices oriented. While you
are encouraged to give practical examples from your experience, the language
should not be sales or
self-promotion oriented.
- All
Speakers must attend the breakfast & orientation session prior to their presentations
- Bring an electronic copy of your presentation on a USB drive. You may use your personal laptop,
however, if you plan to do this please
arrive early so that your laptop can be tested and connected
